Formed in August 2000, the Wiregrass Education Association is an association of Wiregrass home-based education church schools who have united together to offer ongoing support and encouragement to one another. This network of schools participates in common activities such as field trips, conferences, science fairs, testing, promotion ceremonies, etc. The WEA network of schools has a two-fold stated purpose:

1) to organize activities as an association that are more difficult to do as single groups.

2) to work to encourage each other as administrators in the day-to day activities we do for our families.

The association for the 2001-2002 school year included 18 church schools with approximately 300 families/600 students represented.

WEA has in the past sponsored:

Fine Arts Festival and Science Fair
Standardized Testing
High School Graduation
Used Curriculum Fair
